Gray and Green Nail Polish

I don’t know about you but I have totally been rocking gray and green toned nail polishes this season! So refreshing to see something other than pinks and reds. These two colors, Jade and Particuliere, by Chanel would look fabulous on some fun short flirty nails!

Chic Camera Bag

I have had my eye on the new Epiphanie camera bags but these photos by Michele Waite of her new bag have totally sold me. I am even kind of digging the red color! (suddenly my wish list is getting longer…oopsJ)

The Mullet Dress

Apparently the term “mullet” no longer just describes a bad hair style but now also describes a new trend in bridal gowns! That cracks me up!

Men’s Rings

When we got married picking a ring out for J was one of the harder wedding planning tasks. He is VERY picky to say the least and knew he didn’t want diamonds. I recently happened to stumble across Kohl’s selection of men's rings and am kind of shocked at the variety they have. I usually don’t shop there nor would have ever looked there but wow impressive!!

Spanx Swimsuits

Hello!!! I am back!!

Sorry for the break in action we had a bit of a rough week last week but are getting back to normal now. Berkley is doing better and I promise to update you more on him later in the week. For now we are working on getting back into our “family groove” and focusing on things we love to do for us. One of those things is swimming so I was totally geeked when I saw that Spanx has come out with a new swimsuit line!! They have me rethinking one-piece bathing suits and craving warm weather!

This one is convertible and can be worn strapless too!

Pajama Jeans

So what do we think about these Pajama Jeans? They are sweatpants designed to look like jeans. Comfy I am sure but would you wear them? I am not going to lie I might actually wear a pair to walk the dog around the block however the $39 price tag might be a little steep for glorified pajamas J

Coffee Cuff

LOVE: Treating myself once a month to a Starbucks coffee.

HATE: The cuff they give you so you don’t burn your hand…what a waste of paper.

COMPROMISE: These adorable coffee cuffs! They double as jewelry and help to save a little room in a landfill…a win-win all the way around!

Feathered Shoes

I saw these feathered shoes and immediately thought they must be hundreds of dollars but I came to find out that the feathers just clip on and even better they are only $28!

Pencil Couture

I saw this designer's work at the 2009 One of Kind Show here in Chicago and I just thought it was so cleaver. I am always blown away by how creative people can be. The only concern I have about these pieces would be wearing them with a white shirt…lead on the collar is not always the ideal look! Still they are really interesting to look at!

Between-the-Finger Rings

One of my good friends Keri got engaged over the past weekend and I am still drooling over her Van Cleef and Arpels ring. I am not usually a name dropper but come on who would not want a ring from the big VCA!! So of course I had to run right over to their web sight to drool some more and that is where I discovered these amazingly unique Between-the-Finger Rings. (Keri – am I smelling a one year anniversary gift? :) But in all seriousness congrats Keri and John we could not be happier for you both and are wishing you years of wedded bliss!

Puzzle Watch

My husband is a huge watch junky so I am always on the look out for interesting watching both in terms of functionality and looks. The watches from Tokyo Flash are definitely different to say the least! Can you figure out what time it is?

Red = Hours
Green = Groups of 5 minutes
Yellow = Single Minutes

My Kind of Ink

I have always wanted to get a tattoo but can never seem to decide what to get or where to get it. That is probably why I totally fell for Tattoo Socks! They come in knee highs, thigh highs and even full nylons. I think they are the perfect way to spice up your favorite LBD (little black dress) and let your alter ego show for a night :)

Swoon Worthy Shoes

These shoes featured on Kiss the Groom are so fabulous they make my head spin. What a fresh take on the traditional bridesmaid shoe! (I am sure it does help though that the bride owns her own luxury shoe company Omelle :)

Statement Jewelry

I have to admit that I am finding new inspiration in the way Madeleine Albright was able to take beautiful pieces of jewelry and make a world wide statement with them. Guess it is a new take on the phrase “statement jewelry” :) Her new book Read my Pins features photos of 300 pins/broaches she wore while ambassador to the UN and Secretary of State. She would strategically pick out a pin to wear based upon the mood of the meeting or the point she was trying make. Check out a few examples below:
She wore this huge bug pin during a meeting with Russia after they discovered that the Russians had bugged the State Department.

She wore turtle pins during the Middle East talks because she felt they were moving so slow.

She wore this “hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil” monkey pin to protest what the Russians were doing in Chechnya and the fact that they were denying what was going on.

After a meeting with Saddam Hussein where he called her a “serpent” she began wearing this snake pin when dealing with Iraq.

In 1996 after Cuba shot down two small planes flown by Cuban-Americans she wore this antique bird pin head down to honor the fallen pilots.

Edgy Bridal Details

Ines Di Santo recently debuted their Fall/Winter 2010 Couture Collection in NYC and I am totally digging the unique hand pieces each of the models wore!! It is the perfect amount of edge to accompany the beautiful gowns. Might be something to consider for all my brides out there looking to add a little something different to their look!
