Save the date Decoder

Maybe it is the little kid in me but I think that this decoder invited featured on Ruffled is too fun! I could even see sending these out for a kid’s birthday party or a mystery themed party! The best part is that the bride made them entirely herself!

DIY Valentine’s Day Cards

This Valentine’s Day card from 24-7-365 could not get any cuter or any easier!!! Simply take a photo of your favorite valentine with their hand extended out in front of them and add some text via Photoshop. Print out the cards at your local drugstore where you can also pick up the Tootsie Pops to attach to the card. When you get home all you have to do is poke holes on the photos and add the delicious Tootsie Pops. Alissa from 24-7-365 suggests adding a little tape the back to help it stay on better! A Child’s Birthday Card

I always struggle with the idea of adding a card to a child’s gift. I feel like sometimes they are too busy ripping through the wrapping to even notice it and other times they are not even able to read some of the words on the card. I do however think that this idea from inchmark is a fabulous compromise between making sure Mom and Dad know who the gift is from yet gives the child something they really want….CANDY! :) Not to mention it is a great way to add a little more fun to a gift with out spending a lot!

Scratch and Sniff Cards

If I had seen these holiday cards by Melangerie NYC earlier in the year I totally would have sent them out. I wish I could smell them through my computer screen. How cleverly unexpected!

London Bound

I am leaving for London to accompany my husband on a business trip and it got me to thinking about the importance of a good business card. I love that this card is simple in design yet really leave a lasting impression.

I will be back next week but until then I off to ride in one of those funny looking cabs, drink high tea, shop at Harrods, chat up the queen and of course enjoy a pint in the local pub! See you all next week!

Snowflake Pumpkins

So one of my favorite things to do is to make paper snowflakes at Christmas so when I saw the same concept applied to pumpkins over at Mer Mag I was totally hooked! I mean how cute and easy are these to make?!!! What a great fall project for the whole family!!

I am just loving all the wrap labels I am seeing on everything from wedding invitation envelopes to thanks you card envelopes! It is such an easy way to add a little flair to an otherwise plain envelope!

Envelope Liners

I am a huge fan of making things looks like a million bucks for only a few bucks!! One of my favorite tricks is to add a simple envelope lining to any card I might be mailing. This works well on anything from a simple thank you card to an elegant wedding invitation!

One of my favorite places to purchase envelopes and envelope linings is Paper Source. They have a variety of colors and sizes to choose from and if you don’t find the color you are looking for they actually have an envelope liner template kit ($9.50) you can use to make your own liners. (I totally recommend buying the kit...I use mine all the time!)
